Our Cabin

The biggest surprise of our cabin must be the drawing of the Oosterpoort in Delft, which is hanging over the couch. I lived in Delft for ten years, the last five of which with Nicoline, so the moment we entered the cabin, we felt as if it was made for us!

The cabin itself is on deck 2, the “Main Deck” (so called because it is the deck where we entered the ship), out of the 10 decks for the passengers. It is in the center of the ship, which means that at least one of the motions of the ship (the “roll”) is minimized.

The cabin is small, of course, but totally adeqate. It has a bed, a couch, a desk, and a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. More than enough closet space, with a little safe in one of those closets. What more can one want?
